Why Seinfeld is the best sitcom EVER!

Seinfeld has been around for a very long time and the series ended with a whimper, but Seinfeld is the single greatest sitcom in recorded history. I'm sure a lot of you out there will disagree and bring up sitcoms like Happy Days, I love Lucy, The Honeymooners etcetera, but I'm going to tell you exactly why you're wrong!

Seinfeld stands up against time first and foremost, you can watch episodes of it today and laugh as much as when it was new. Hearing a nerd shout "Bucko" isn't funny, Ralph threaten his wife with bodily violence isn't funny, nor is the female Jerry Lewis funny. Many watch these old time situational comedies, because they either grew up with them, or the show holds some emotional connection (i.e. parents watched it with you and they grew up on it).

Second, elaine isn't a klutz, a whore or the stereotypical "Bitch" female character, that is STRONGLY portrayed in sitcoms today. All four of the primary cast feel real, they suffer from their own neurosis and issues and come to terms with real life in their quest to simply live. Kramer is totally out there in left field and EVERYONE knows someone like that.

George is a lecherous guy, looking to score the perfect job, perfect girl and to prove he's the best at everything (Which he is not) that he does and is. Jerry is the proverbial glue of the motley crew, he stands at the proverbial center of the hurricane watching the chaos ensue. Jerry play's "Jerry" himself, a stand up comic, with a rag tag group of misfit friends whom all share a fondness for getting into zany situations.

This is a show about nothing...in that the show has no general premise that makes it, it is simply about life. Everyone is aquiainted with the "Soup Nazi" or "Poppie" and those are third cast, nearly background characters! The secondary cast of Seinfeld, including George and Jerry's parents, J. Peterman, Steinbrenner, Mr. Pitt and the lot are AMAZING and are just as funny and on par as the primary foursome. Seinfeld is by far the greatest show to have ever seen television and who is unsurpassed by anything on T.V. today.

What's better, Sex and the City? HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Four whores trying to get laid in overpopulated New York City, while wearing clothing that no human in their right mind would wear. Great television?

Seinfeld is, has been and will always be, one of the single greatest television series to have graced the boob tube...period!
