Lifeless Eyes (An Expression of Anger)

This anger engulfing me,

Desolving me of my sanity,

Depleting me of rational thought,

Knuckles white, cold and tightly gripped,

Nostrils flared like a horse mid-gallop,

Noise fades to a distant whisper,

Vision becomes wide and yet blurred,

Teeth grit tightly together,

Stomach turns, Hands quake,

breathing quickens, pulse racing,

Mind a blur, senses dulled,

Saliva flowing like a ravenous beast,

Unchained by fleeting humanity,

POW!

The first blow connects,

Bone on bone contact,

Fist to jaw as his joints pop,

The enemy stumbles back from the force,

POW!

A second blow lands flush in his face,

His teeth caught my knuckles opening them,

The enemy lays with his back to the ground,

Knuckles bloodied, cut and bruised,

Pain a far flung concept by this point,

All that remains is my primal hatred,

Raw and animalistic in my transformation,

The enemy stands again before me,

His face a shattered melee of blood and bruising,

A broken man by all means but still a man standing,

POW!

Let loose a kick deep into his stomach,

Penetraiting the muscles and causing the prey to kneel before me,

A rush of power consumes my being,

I smile at the fallen prey so helpless,

Knelt down coughing beneath me,

But still he breathes, every breath taunting me,

Every breath crying out for vengeance,

A battered and beaten man attempts to stand,

POW!

A Kick to the enemies face splits his lip and shatters teeth,

He lays back upon the ground,

coughing blood and spitting out teeth,

Gasping for air and no longer humanly recognizable,

Adrenaline begins to fade making pain a reality again,

Pain brings about further anger,

This is all his fault, scapegoat the martyr,

His blood is my vindication,

Because of him, I may now rest in a barred cell,

My life taken away from me,

While stepping forward towards the enemy I stumbled,

A large rock tripped up my path,

The enemy begins screaming,

Pleading with me and screaming for help,

I knelt down and picked up the rock,

Blunt object, making man as a god,

I took a step forward as the enemies hand rose up,

A last desperate plea for forgiveness,

The enemy yells "God save me" but no one hears,

I stand above him holding the rock above my head,

POW!

POW!

POW!

A disfigured wretch lay convulsing...

My mind races back to me,

Confusion is dissolved as the rational mind sets in,

My prey once looked like me,

He could stand and walk and talk,

He had recollections of both happy and sad thoughts,

Now all that remains is his broken shell...

What have I become...
